Toelichting
Op muzieklijstjes.nl worden muzieklijstjes verzameld, die gemaakt worden door professionele muziekkenners. Incidenteel verschijnen er naast de bekende ‘jaarlijstjes’, lijstjes waarin deelnemers ‘de beste platen’ van een bepaalde periode, stijl of genre noemen. Dit soort muzieklijstjes wordt gebruikt als input voor de samenstelling van de ‘muziekcanon’. De albums (géén losse songs) die hier worden gepresenteerd komen uit de muziekcanon, zoals die er medio 2015 uitziet. In die bewuste lijst staan ruim 2200 titels. Hier worden de meest genoemde platen per jaar gepresenteerd. Het tweede cijfer is het Aantal Keren dat een bepaalde plaat in de muziekcanon wordt genoemd.
Onder PF staat een Persoonlijke Favoriet van de auteur. Albums die ik door de jaren heen ben blijven ‘draaien’. Dit om aan te tonen dat ‘een muziekcanon’ relatief is. Er zijn uiteraard véél meer mooie, bijzondere en draaibare platen. Volgens de Van Dale is een canon immers “een verzameling van (…) werken die in een samenleving als waardevol erkend worden en dienen als referentiepunt in de (…) beschouwing en in het onderwijs”. Het geeft een leidraad, die niet voorschrijft maar u als het ware tips aanreikt. “Doe er mee wat u wil”.
